Simple Mutton Curry Recipe | How to Make Mutton Curry

Today I'm sharing the recipe of a very easy, quick and simple mutton curry that I usually make. I'm still wondering why this recipe never made its way to the blog till now as this style is most preferred by everyone at home, may be I was too lazy to click a photo and post it here, hehehe..... Finally, this recipe is up and with very less ingredients it does tastes awesome. It can be had with roti/any flat breads or rice. Look below for the detailed recipe.




Easy Mutton Curry


Ingredients: 
Mutton - 1/2 kg
Green cardamom - 3
Cloves - 3
Black pepper corns - 4-5
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Bay leaf - 1
Dried red chillies - 2, deseeded
Onion - 3 medium, finely sliced
Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil

Method:
In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add all the whole spices

Add onions and saute till golden brown in colour

Add mutton pieces and saute on high flame for few minutes

Add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell disappears

Add the tomatoes, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala powder and salt. Cook till tomatoes are fully mashed up and oil separates

Add enough water and pressure cook till mutton is tender

Adjust the consistency of the gravy by adding water as required and bringing it to boil

Serve hot with roti/naan/rice
