Aloo Chana Chaat Recipe | Potato and Chickpea Salad

The climate is so cold, cloudy and dull today, feel like sleeping the whole day under the blanket. Since this recipe - Aloo Chana Chaat was drafted and kept long back, publishing it today on my lazy day. Presenting yet another Iftar delicacy that can be had as a snack any time of the year. Though I had added lots of boiled potatoes but I can't see any of them in the pic, probably they got all hidden. I too didn't realize it while clicking as this was taken in a hurry just before breaking the fast. May be next time when I prepare it again, will try to upload a better pic....... :)

Ingredients:
Chickpea / Qabuli chana - 250 gms, soaked overnight and boiled in a pressure cooker and cooled
Potato - 1 medium, boiled and cubed
Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
Tomato - 1 small, deseeded and finely chopped
Cucumber - 1, finely chopped
Green chilli - 1-2, finely chopped
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch, chopped
Tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp, roasted
Salt - to taste
Chat masala - for sprinkling



Method:

In a small bowl, take the tamarind pulp

Add in red chilli powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix

In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients mentioned along with the mixed tamarind pulp. Mix everything well

Place it in a serving bowl and sprinkle chaat masala over it  and serve!!!
