Spicy Mutton Gravy

Mutton - 1/2 kg
Onion - 2, medium, finely sliced
Bay leaf - 1
Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seed - 2 tbsp
Coriander seeds 1/2 tsp
Black peppercorns - 4
Cardamom - 3
Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Garlic - 5 cloves
Salt - to taste
Oil


Method:
In a blender, add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorns, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and garlic and blend it to a smooth paste
In a pressure cooker heat oil and add the bay leaf
Add onions and saute till golden brown in colour
Add the mutton pieces and saute till all water dries up
Add the masala paste, salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and saute till oil separates
Add enough water and pressure cook till meat is tender
Serve with roti or rice
