Rice kheer

Ingredients:
  • Rice - 1/2 cup soaked overnight
  • Full cream milk - 1 litre
  • Condensed milk - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 3 tbsp or according to taste
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Saffron - 10 strands soaked in 2 tbsp of hot milk
  • Dry fruits like raisins, almonds, pistachios for garnishing
Method:
  • Strain the rice and crush it with hand, do not grind
  • In a pot, boil the milk and let it simmer
  • Add rice and cook for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring continuously so that rice does not stick to the bottom
  • Add the sugar and cook for few minutes
  • Add the condensed milk
  • Add saffron and cardamom
  • Cook till desired consistency is achieved
  • Garnish with dry fruits and serve chilled
